The Citizens Police Academy was founded in 2000. The Academy was created to provide an opportunity for residents and business owners to meet and correspond with local law enforcement. Our goal is to help citizens gain a better understanding of how we serve our community, and to help us learn how to better serve our citizens.
Understand police work and have some fun along the way!
All Citizens Police Academy classes are taught by veteran police officers. Several topics covered include; Driving Under the Influence (DUI law & exercise), Crime Scene Investigation, Crime Prevention, Criminal Domestic Violence, Gun Safety, Firearms Simulations, and more! We’ve introduced an optional Saturday class to allow more time for special topics!
